Iran cultural week kicks off in Syria

The cultural week of the Islamic Republic of Iran has kicked off in Syria.

The event, which is inaugurated on September 28, will run through October 04, 2022.

The inauguration ceremony is attended by the Minister of Culture of Syria and the head of the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communications and the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Damascus.

Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour, the head of the Islamic Culture and Communications Organization (ICCO), left Tehran for Damascus in order to participate in the opening ceremony of Iran's cultural week in Syria and to have an official bilateral meeting with the cultural authorities of this country.

In this cultural week, a group of Iranian artists in the field of handicrafts and visual and performing arts will display a part of Iranian Fine Islamic art and carpet industry by setting up an art exhibition.

Other parts of this cultural event are holding specialized meetings on the topic of women and family discussion, lifestyle and home occupations, and film screenings and workshops on filmmaking.
